Monks and nuns wear the traditional Benedictine Habit with belt, while Oblates do not use the belt. They also may wear a shorter (tunic-style) Habit. Nuns do not wear the hood, but instead a veil in the Eastern Style.

Priests may wear an Orthodox cross. There is no headgear other than the hood.

The Benedictine Habit is typically worn to Services, at monastic or official events etc. -  The Habit is optional for Oblates.

If you are part of our Benedictine community, you may order your Habit by contacting the Abbot.
